Rescue Me ID: 18-01-24-00126Rudy (male)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Looking for a very special person who is willing to adopt and care for special needs pup. Rudy was rescued from terrible puppy mill 5 month ago. He is 7-8 month old purebred minpin. Rudy has unknown origin neurological issue but it doesn't slow him down. He eats, runs around and play like any other puppy his age. And very loving happy little guy. Our best guess that he was either over vaccinated at the mill or had some kind of head trauma (very common at the mill). Rudy can't see very well and his hearing is not 100%, but he gets around just fine. He can't feel his bowels coming so poops when he runs and looks surprised when it happens. He ... (Read More)doesn't potty or peeing on himself while sleeping so it's easy to keep him clean. Rudy adores other dogs, loves to play with them and lost by himself so need to have another friendly dog with him. Rudy's wonderful foster mom adores him and loves him dearly. We hope that Rudy can find loving forever home of his own with a very special person to care for him. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-19-00017Choppy (male)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Choppy is a min pin senior from a kill shelter in Kansas. His age is estimated at 10 years old. He's good with dogs and is adound 18lbs. He'll be microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested and neutered. Choppy is a little snugglebug. He's still full of energy, loves to go for his daily walk, really likes to be around bigger dogs and play with them. He will run and play. He also likes his downtime, preferring to snuggle in a blanket or a dog bed. If you are sitting on the couch he loves to be with you snuggling. At night he wants to snuggle with you in bed and get under the covers to stay warm. Once he is used to his new ... (Read More)home he loves to sit out in the backyard and just hang out. He doesn't mind being in a kennel. He still needs some guidance to not pee in the house, but he's getting much better and now will go stand by the back door to be let out when he has to go. We have him wear a dog band inside or put him in a kennel when we won't be home to help minimize accidents. When he's comfortable in his new forever home he will bark at strangers or loud noises such as motorcycles or semi-trucks, but his barking is not excessive or annoying. Choppy is inquisitive and loves to check out his surroundings. He is good with children and adults. Unknown how he would behave with cats but he does well with other dogs and really like to be with bigger dogs. He is used to just being able to go his own way, so do watch him around open doors or when you go out the front door as he'll just head out on an adventure, but he's not hard to wrangle up, he doesn't run away, he just heads out to explore. He would make a great addition to a family looking for a medium energy dog or a great second or third dog. (Less)
