Rescue Me ID: 16-08-12-00064Addison (female)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Addison was born a bout July 1, 2011 and weighs about 15 lbs. He is cute as a button and just as sweet as any little dog here. Addison got his name because he was 'added' on the last minute since there was one empty crate - lucky boy! We truly get no information from the southern shelters as they don't ask questions when humans surrender their pets as it feels they are embarrassed because the reason is so often financial. Sadly, we will be learning as we go and so will you. He's been wonderful with all of us and the other dogs. We do want to mention that many of these tiny dogs struggle with house training throughout their lives and ... (Read More)may benefit from having potty floor pads handy. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-08-04-00105Brodie Spodie (male)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I Win Sweetest Ever! Brody was born about May 28, 2009 and weighs about 15 lbs. He is the NICEST Min Pin ever to walk through our doors. He adores his humans and will follow you everywhere. He's fabulous with the other dogs and he's was with very young children and did great. He loves a nice lap to relax in and he loves going for car rides. He was adopted by a young man for his father and when the father passed away the son couldn't keep Brody as he rented an apartment that didn't allow pets. So, Brody got to come stay with us for awhile and we sure fell head over heals quickly - you will too! We do want to warn that these tiny dogs ... (Read More)sometimes struggle with house training throughout their lives and may well benefit from having a potty floor pad handy when they just can't hold it any longer. Small dogs are not just shrunken big dogs, they have their own quirks (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-13-00101PeeWee (male)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Pee Wee was born about January 10, 2009 and weighs about 15 lbs. He is house trained and paper trained for those times that he just can't hold it. Pee Wee is fine on leash and enjoys going for car rides, but it can cause some anxiety. He has no experience around children or cats, he's great with the other dogs. His favorite thing in the whole world is to have his tummy rubbed, sure makes the little nub wiggle! Pee Wee is protective of his humans so you'll need to cautious with new humans coming into your home and he has an infatuation with humans leaving which results in him trying to nip as you are going out the door. Such a bad ... (Read More)behavior that should have been corrected long ago, but we are working on it and water spray bottles are getting the message across, but he may try this again once he has a new home and doesn't realize we've let his new humans know how to handle this. One thing the new owner must know is that he had a very bad reaction to a lepto vaccine long ago and should never have another. His owner had a terrible car accident and is no longer able to care for him and struggling to care for herself - how sad. (Less)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Christa was born about January 6, 2016 and may top out in the 8-10 lb. area. She is cute as a button and just as fun as any Min Pin should be! She is social, happy, and loving. However, we do feel a home without little kids may be best for her, she may not be as patient as some. We do want to let you know that often, throughout life, these tiny dogs struggle with house training and potty floor pads may be the way to go. Absolutely no information comes from the south and this is all we know so far. We will be learning as we go and so will you.

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered

Great friend I have had my whole life but unable to care for because my wife and I are expecting, plus other responsibilities. Very strong and large for mini pin, likes to sleep on couch and is trained to go outside or on wee wee pads. I walk 2-3 times a day he has a lot of energy. He is good with people and kids, unsure of other animals because he gets excited very quickly. He does not like to be picked from the ground or washed, I do it but he can get aggressive. health is fine, he has one eye that is a little cloudy from a scratch that healed, and a little dry skin problem. I have full medical records, I purchased him when he 2-3 months ... (Read More)old. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-12-01-00164Ellie (female)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Oh, my, that was a long trip! Ellie was born about November 25, 2009 and weighs about 17 lbs. She is an adorable, delicate looking, little tri-colored girl that is just wonderful with the other dogs here. She travels well in a car and good thing since her human brought her here from CT ! The phone rings and there is a woman rather upset because she can't keep her dog and she's very angry with all the shelters she's called because 'they were turning their backs on her dog'. I take a deep breath, as she is still talking, and ask where she was calling from and she said CT. I ask if she knew how far away she was calling and she said she'd ... (Read More)take her anywhere. I listened for awhile longer and then said 'fine, you can bring her here'. Of course not thinking she really would! Several days later she called to say she'd be here the next day and I was still surprised when she showed up! OK, so back to the Ellie: She's good in the car (good thing!) and she is good in the house. She is a quiet little girl, just hangs out on the top of the couch most of the day and in our laps in the evening. She does take some warm up time and a home where there are just one or two humans and not a ton of company would be best, she's just reserved with those she doesn't know and can be nippy if cornered or frightened. We are told she has some leash aggression, meaning she thinks she's a tough dog when out in the world and on leash. We've not seen this, but haven't had her on leash. So, all in all, she isn't a perfect dog, but she will be well loved again in the right home. Ellie was hit by a car when she was a year old and we have a copy of her records which couldn't be read due to the handwriting, but the vet office was nice enough to have the vet translate that the trauma Ellie experienced was an avulsion fracture of the femoral head and a right luxated hip. They popped the hip back in and due to her young age the fracture was able to heal on it's own. A few weeks later there were no signs of any discomfort and there will be no issues long term. She was lucky! Ellie is panicky in a crate and does need her owners home much of the time. (Less)
