Rescue Me ID: 17-03-20-00220Rocko (male)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Adorable 4-year old chihuahua mix seeks patient, kind adult person to go for long walks in the sunshine and snuggles on the couch. Hi, I am Rocko! I have had a difficult few months since my previous people decided they could no longer care for me, but things have been looking up since Wonder Pets Rescue sprung me out of jail! I have been learning that the world is not quite as scary as I thought it was. I would really love a forever home with people who are understanding that I still may be afraid and will help me continue to learn that I can trust them to take care of me. My foster mommy says my 'best fit' would be a relatively calm ... (Read More)household that will follow up with a 'positive reinforcement' trainer, to help me along (all I know is that who can be scared when they get to eat such delicious treats and hear such happy voices?!). Even though I love to play with all kinds of toys, a household with small children would not be a good fit, as I still very scared of unexpected movement and touches. I also am likely to chase your cats (or other small animals), I just can't stop myself; I am okay with a very confident cat that will let me know to back off, however. I am very picky about my doggie companions and need long, very slow introductions. Careful introductions are a must, if you already have a canine companion, but once I am used to another dog, I am usually good with them. I am normally good with pottying outside. However, I really, really do not like going out in the rain and sometimes still try to find a warmer, dryer place to do my business. If you are willing to make sure I take care of business outside, though, I am good at holding it once I go back inside. I am good in the crate all day long, if you have to leave for work. I will also sleep in a crate at night, if I can see you from my crate; however, my favorite place to sleep is snuggled up next to my person all night long (extra bonus points if you want to share your blankets with me, too!). If you think you are just the perfect person for me, please e-mail Wonder Pets Rescue. They will be able to let you know more about my story and more about the future training that will help me become the confident, happy companion I am learning to be! Rocko is neutered, microchipped, wormed, and current on routine, bordatella, and rabies vaccinations. His adoption donation is $200. Rescue Me ID: 17-03-11-00288Joey (male)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Puppy

Darling Joey! This little guy is about 18mo old, weighs approx 9lbs... and is very leggy! He can be a bit shy when first meeting new people but with just a few minutes and a couple of treats, he quickly becomes an affectionate, social boy. He LOVES to play with other dogs and must have another, like size dog in the home. Joey is fully crate trained and potty trained. He loves to go on walks and will do a little dance when he sees the leash and harness come out. Joey will do best in an experienced home that can help build his confidence. Because he's a bit insecure, kids must be over 14yrs old. A fenced backyard for this little guy is ... (Read More)also a must. (Less)
