|Animal ID: 55376Phinneus (male)|
Meet Phinneus! Don't let his old age fool you - this senior Min Pin might enjoy snuggling up on a soft bed and under some blankets, but he also gets bursts of young energy and loves jumping into his human friend's laps and racing across the room for snacks and treats! Although he can be a little independent and might not be your best friend right off the bat, this tiny guy has so much love to give once connects with you! And once you're friends, you're friends for life, and you've got a dedicated cuddle buddy. Phinneus walks great on a leash and seems to be housebroken (though he likes to go out often). This little guy will dance for food (he literally leaps in the air and spins around- it is so cute!) and already knows commands like 'sit' and 'wait'. Phinneus does have some medical considerations to take into account in order to help keep Phinneus his healthy, happy self - he needs to be on hypothyroid medication for life (it helps him maintain a healthy weight) and he also needs to be on a special prescription diet because he has a history of urinary crystals. Because he is an older boy and does like to be able to relax and take it easy, he would do best in a quiet, low key home, preferably without other animals and without young kids. Thanks to generous donors, Phinneus' adoption fee is sponsored AND one year of his special food and medication is also sponsored- wow! If your home sounds like a good fit for this special, one-of-a-kind boy, please come down to the shelter to meet him today! |Rescue Me ID: 17-05-17-00186Duggy (male)|
Darling Duggy is a sweet as can be gentleman that gets along with everyone he meets. He's an easy going 7-8yr old, 15lb boy, just looking for an easy going home of his own. He likes to go on walks when the weather is warm, or settle into a bed in the car while helping to take care of the daily errands. He gets along great with other dogs and would love to have another doggy companion in the home, but it's not required. He does not need a fenced backyard, although one would be ideal becasue he does like to take his time exploring all that is around him. Duggy would do best with a work from home person, a retired couple or he'd even be a great office dog with someone that could take him to work. He is neutered, microchipped, all vaccines are current and he's even had a recent dental cleaning. (More pictures coming soon) (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-03-20-00220Rocko (male)|
Adorable 4 year old, 15 lb. chihuahua mix seeks patient, kind adult person to go for long walks in the sunshine and snuggles on the couch. Hi, I am Rocko! I have had a difficult few months since my previous people decided they could no longer care for me, but things have been looking up since Wonder Pets Rescue sprung me out of jail! I have been learning that the world is not quite as scary as I thought it was. I would really love a forever home with people who are understanding that I still may be afraid and will help me continue to learn that I can trust them to take care of me. My foster mommy says my 'best fit' would be a relatively calm household that will follow up with a 'positive reinforcement' trainer, to help me along (all I know is that who can be scared when they get to eat such delicious treats and hear such happy voices?!). Even though I love to play with all kinds of toys, a household with small children would not be a good fit, as I still very scared of unexpected movement and touches. I also am likely to chase your cats (or other small animals), I just can't stop myself; I am okay with a very confident cat that will let me know to back off, however. I am very picky about my doggie companions and need long, very slow introductions. Careful introductions are a must, if you already have a canine companion, but once I am used to another dog, I am usually good with them. I am normally good with pottying outside. However, I really, really do not like going out in the rain and sometimes still try to find a warmer, dryer place to do my business. If you are willing to make sure I take care of business outside, though, I am good at holding it once I go back inside. I am good in the crate all day long, if you have to leave for work. I will also sleep in a crate at night, if I can see you from my crate; however, my favorite place to sleep is snuggled up next to my person all night long (extra bonus points if you want to share your blankets with me, too!). If you think you are just the perfect person for me, please e-mail Wonder Pets Rescue. They will be able to let you know more about my story and more about the future training that will help me become the confident, happy companion I am learning to be! Rocko is neutered, microchipped, wormed, and current on routine, bordatella, and rabies vaccinations. His adoption donation is $200. Wonder Pets Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization and adoption donations are tax deductible. Find us on Facebook! |Rescue Me ID: 17-03-11-00288Joseph (male)|
Darling Joseph! This little guy is about 18mo old, weighs approx 9lbs... and is very leggy! He can be a bit shy when first meeting new people but with just a few minutes and a couple of treats, he quickly becomes an affectionate, social boy. He LOVES to play with other dogs and must have another, like size dog in the home. Joseph is fully crate trained and potty trained. He loves to go on walks and will do a little dance when he sees the leash and harness come out. Joseph will do best in an experienced home that can help build his confidence. Because he's a bit insecure, kids must be over 14yrs old.
