Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is Susie and I am a three year old Min-Pin. I was dropped off in the country with my two friends Cocoa and Charlie. We didn't know where to go or what to do but a nice couple took us in for a few days. Unfortunately they could not keep us so they contacted Paws 4 Hope to see if they would help my friends and me out. It would be nice to have a family who would like to have a small dog to snuggle and play with. I like to go on walks since I'm good on a leash and I also like to ride in the car. Did I mention that I come when I'm called! I am good with older children but have not spent any time with small children, so I am not sure how ... (Read More)much I would like them. I am good with other dogs but really big ones scare me. I am not house broken yet but I am sure I can figure it out if someone is willing to teach me. Did I mention I am spayed, have had all my vaccinations and microchipped. I can live with cats as long as we are properly introduced. I know I have to leave my friends behind but I am sure I will not get lonely because my new family will love me and spend lots of time with me. Are you that family? (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-31-00273Pip (female)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sweet Pip is a timid, adorable little Min Pin. The vet estimates that she is around a 1 year old, she loves to play like a puppy. This adorable little girl has had a rough go of it the past few months but she has come out on top! Pip has recently recovered from both Parvo and from Mange; she is healthy now (though is still growing back some tufts of hair) and ready to find her new family. Pip is very smart and is always making her foster humans smile and laugh. She has the sweetest little face, and even though she is a little timid, it is clear how much she just wants to love and be loved. Pip takes a while to ... (Read More)warm up to humans but immediately was comfortable with the four other dogs in her foster home. She loves to follow them around and within minutes figured out how to use the dog door, find the toy bucket and beg for treats! She loves to play with her foster pack, and spends hours wrestling and chasing a similarly aged pup. The presence of the other dogs helped her to overcome much of her timidness and trust her foster humans. But don't let her initial reaction to strangers fool you, Pip is full of life and LOVES to play. She could entertain herself for hours with a good toy and has been known to do so in the middle of the night. She loves a good head and neck rub (seriously, she closes her little eyes and looks so happy). With Pip it is all about patience and letting her feel like she is ready for you to give her that attention that she adores. She frequently tucks her tail under and runs away, even after running up to greet you. But don't worry, a minute later once she feels braver she comes around for her rubs and cuddles. Pip will need another playful/friendly dog that could help with her confidence. She needs a home that is willing to be patient and gentle with her as she learns to trust and become less skittish. A home without children under 15 is a requirement. This girl has been diagnosed with chronic dry eye and will need eye drops 2-3 times a day possibly for life. The drops cost about $50 a month depending on where you buy them they could be a bit less. Pip is spayed, current on shots and has a microchip Pip's adoption fee is $100 If you have the patience and the heart to invest in a sweet little shy dog Pip would love to join your family and make you laugh yourself silly.
