Miniature Pinschers get along well with other pets and children if properly socialized, but they do not tolerate teasing. Miniature Pinschers are intelligent, quick learners. This breed can live in an apartment if it gets enough exercise, including being taken for a brisk walk each day. Miniature Pinschers do not tolerate cold temperatures well.

Miniature Pinscher Trivia: Miniature Pinschers are called Zwergpinschers in Germany, which literally means Dwarf Biter. Miniature Pinschers are not considered to be a toy breed in their native Germany; they are one of the oldest Terriers. The Miniature Pinscher is affectionately called the Min Pin. Miniature Pinschers have been depicted in art for centuries. Miniature Pinschers are often mistakenly called Miniature Dobermans, but they are not related to Doberman Pinschers.
