Animal ID: 28670Ryker (male)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ryker is a slender, gorgeous black and tan purebred boy with the greatest radar ears! He is shy with people but loves to be held by those he trusts. His foster Dad has become his (second-best) buddy: he's really happy to see him, comes when beckoned and sits in front of him, climbs on his lap, and willingly goes in or out of his crate or the back door for recess and potty. He is comfortable with limited access in the house at one time - kitchen, main area and the 'dog room' - and watchs Dad fix dinner with an eager eye. Ryker enjoys other dogs his size, and his very best buddy is Patrick! When one gets outside first, he waits by the back ... (Read More)door for the other, and they race off doing zoomies around the dog yard, creating their very own banked racetrack!%A0Both boys came from a breeding situation, but Ryker found it harder to trust than most. He's still a work in progress, will still hide from strangers and frighten easily in large 'exposed' spaces. But he has shown us he can trust, bond and learn with the right person. Ryker would like to find a furever home with someone experienced with minpin fears and trust-building, and a secure fenced yard. If you have time for him and would like to take him the rest of the way in his new life, apply and ask for Ryker! Small children are not recommended due to escape risk and risk of injury.%A0 (Less)

Animal ID: 30052Gracyn (male)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Blind

Gracyn is a 7-yr old neutered%BD%A0 black & tan male. He is tiny at just 10 inches tall and weighs 10 pounds. He is crate-trained and house-trained%BD%A0 when taken out on a regular schedule, (about every two to three hours). Gracyn is a 'special needs baby' and for this reason we will be very picky about the correct family and home for this sweet boy. He is diabetic and requires two insulin shots daily. He also must stick to a strict diet to help control his diabetes. He is also developing 'diabetic cataracts'. At this time he is sight impaired, but will ultimately loose his sight entirely. In the one picture he is modeling his ... (Read More)'Muffin's halo' which helps to keep him from running into walls, furniture and other objects. Sight impaired dogs do function very well once they learn their environment as%BD%A0long as the furniture isn't moved. If you think you are the right home for Gracyn and have the love and compassion to care for him for the rest of his life please write his foster mom today. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-13-00121Pretty Penny (female)

Miniature Pinscher Mix    Age: Young Adult

Date into Rescue: 8/28/2017 Reason for being in rescue: Transfer from another rescue Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms Pacolet SC Special Needs? none noted Weight: 20.10 lb Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? She would love a fence to run around in but isn't needed as long as she can have proper exercise. What kind of home would be best for me? Penny needs an energetic home with possibly a few kids to play with. She also wants to be with her humans for the most part of the day. What is my personality like? Penny was a transfer from another rescue due to space and not having enough time for her. Our best guess is that she is a Miniature ... (Read More)Pinscher and Manchester Terrier mix. Penny is your average happy energetic young dog just looking for the right family to keep her entertained! She does need basic training, but her foster has learned that she is easily corrected and trainable. Miss Penny is full of love and life and ready to take on any adventure thrown her way. Notes from her foster home: 'Penny is a delightful stinker! She was owned by an elderly lady who loved her, vetted her, etc., but Penny was too much puppy and has 18 months of no discipline. She came to us with no manners whatsoever. Negatives: Needs someone who is a stronger owner - no first time owners! She yaps at a very high volume and very high decibel at times - guards the door, barks crazy after foster dad when he comes or goes, yaps from crate when you return until you come get her). Positives: She loves, loves, loves! She is smart as a whip, catches on fast, wants to please. She likes to snuggle under the sheets right next to you. She is crazy athletic - solid muscle! Leaps high (onto the furniture). She would make a super good Agility dog - she is so smart she needs a job. Has been pretty gentle with our dogs, but bugs them to play - they don't play. She'd love a play buddy or kids to run with. She has learned the joys of a stuffed squeaky toy and loves peanut butter (she has a very soft mouth and good manners taking peanut butter off my finger). She's learning to wait her turn for the food bowl and learning to be ok in the crate (still not happy about it but much improved!). She isn't a velcro dog (unless you are in bed), but she'll come up and look into your eyes with so much love and need petting. She is HUGE for a Min Pin - I think she's Min Pin crossed with a Red Hulk. The right home is going to get a wonderful puppy girl!' How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly. House trained? Penny is very much still working on this! Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Birth date 10/13/2015 (Less)

Animal ID: 28653Umpa (female)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Umpa is a black and tan sweetheart and we have no idea why she was named 'grandma.' She has matured in rescue to the same submissive, wriggly ball of love and fun that her sister, Chanel is.%BD%A0 They are actually difficult to tell apart now! They play endlessly! She loves to get in my lap and give kisses, and will steal some time in my bed while I'm working on the computer.%BD%A0 She is confident and gets along well with other dogs. She will bark at strangers in the yard but settle quickly with reassurance. Umpa is crate trained, reasonably house-trained with a schedule and encouragement, and getting used to a leash. We recommend an ... (Read More)xpen or fenced yard until she is fully trained to walk and go potty on a leash. (Less)

Animal ID: 28651Patrick (male)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

2 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 7%BD%BD%BD%A0lb. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter. Patrick is a very sweet little man, very good with other dogs and loves to be held. He came from a breeding situation and to our delight, has been tentative but willing to trust us. He still has some adjusting to do and may run from strange sounds and sights. We are getting to know him, but what we see so far suggests he is house-trained, crate-trained, and a 'perfect gentleman' in the home. He enjoys bounding thru the yard and returning to the lawn swing to be held. He is in early stages of leash training and not ... (Read More)sure about it, so an xpen or a secure fenced yard (he's tiny!) Is recommended until he is fully trained to walk and potty on a leash. Small children are not recommended due to his delicate build and risk of injury. Note: Patrick is located in Charlotte, NC. (Less)

Animal ID: 30064Shine (male)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Shine is a tall, lean minpin/manchester terrier that came to us from a cruelty case, underweight and with a scar near his tail. He was named for the little flecks of silver spread out throughout his coat like glitter! and yes, his personality does shine. He flourishes with routine and is totally delighted to be with you, gazing adoringly into your eyes - no kidding! He wants to be front and center for your love! Shine is using our fenced dog yard for exercise and potty, he is quite energetic and likes to bound around. At this time he is afraid to leave the yard and doesn't follow on leash yet. He comes to me readily, will wait for me at the ... (Read More)door on command, and wait for me to put the leash on as I bring him out of his kennel to the yard. He too doesn't know he's a little lanky for your lap, and tries to sneak up on it at any chance! He learns well with gentle repetitive correction and is treat motivated, but will back up and bark in fear if someone shouts at him. After some zoomies he's good next to you on a lawn swing or couch, soaking up reassurance and affection. Of the two brothers, Shine is more submissive. If you'd like to help Shine gain confidence (and some more weight!), he will return it ten-fold (Less)

Animal ID: 30094Romeo (male)

Miniature Pinscher    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Romeo is a tall, lean minpin/manchester terrier that came to us from a cruelty case, underweight and with a scar near his tail. He was named appropriately for his personality, for despite his initial fears, he is convinced his people were put here just for him to love! Strangers will get a little growl but he warms up quickly once he sees they are okay with you. He doesn't know he's a little lanky for your lap, and will curl & try to make himself small as possible to fit. He's good next to you on a lawn swing or couch with one paw thrown over your leg. At this time Romeo uses a fenced yard for potty. He is hesitant on leash but willing to ... (Read More)follow with patience. We think he will enjoy walks once his confidence grows, he has the long legs and stride for it! He pretty much ignores other dogs except his brother, Shine, and may show displeasure at sharing your affection or his food. If you'd like to take Romeo on his last step into life in a loving home (Less)
