Miniature Pinschers are called Zwergpinschers in Germany, which literally means Dwarf Biter. Miniature Pinschers are not considered to be a toy breed in their native Germany; they are one of the oldest Terriers. Miniature Pinschers have been depicted in art for centuries. Miniature Pinschers are often mistakenly called Miniature Dobermans, but they are not related to Doberman Pinschers.
