This breed can live in an apartment if it gets enough exercise, including being taken for a brisk walk each day. Miniature Pinschers do not tolerate cold temperatures well.

Miniature Pinschers are not considered to be a toy breed in their native Germany; they are one of the oldest Terriers. Miniature Pinschers are often mistakenly called Miniature Dobermans, but they are not related to Doberman Pinschers.
